I've mentioned the trailer here a few times, so I might as well post a few pics. :-) It's got plates now and should be insured in another day or two...
Hooking it up to the Jeep:

Testing the jack-knife angle:

The kitchen
-- The hot-dogs are on us if/when we take it on a trail. :-)

Yup, it is a rather special trailer
-- there aren't too many off-road trailer manufacturers out there, and most of them are in Australia or Africa. There are a few in the States, including Campa USA, the manufacturer of this one. It's easily the most expensive off-road trailer though, so you gotta be really dead-set on buying the best. Lets just say it's about the same price (or more) as a 2-door or 4-door Rubi, depending on the options you choose.
The frame is chromoly and all the bodywork is stainless steel. There's a fridge, freezer, hot water, kitchen, electric brakes, 6k lbs axle, etc. It weighs 2100 lbs unloaded, but it pulls very nicely. It'll easily outlast a few Jeeps too. Since it's custom built, it takes about 2 months to get it. The president of the company built and drove this one to deliver it personally in Champlain NY. There's some paperwork involved with importing a trailer like this, but it's not too bad. A less expensive alternative might be a Horizon trailer from Adventure Trailers, for example.
So far the plans are do to travel the east coats (Labrador, Newfoundland, etc.) next year, then ship the Jeep and trailer to Australia in 2-3 years for a 6 month trip, and eventually buy some land up north where we can go camping on week-ends -- eventually building a house on it a few years later.
