Default Rugged Ridge Air Intake from JKJam2010

Well, i made out pretty good at JKJam 2010. Aside from the fun I had and meeting new people, I ordered some MBRP parts that they brought to me and in the silent auction, I got a rugged ridge air intake for only $100 bucks. My new exhaust goes in this weekend and my MBRP stubby front bumper comes in 1 1/2 weeks. Here's pics of new air intake from the JKJam 2010

Looks good! Clean install.

Notice any difference in the performance at all?

I did notice a slight increase in acceleration as I go through the gears. Mostly 1st and 2nd gear. It was slight but definately noticable. It makes a cool sound too. Once I get the new exhaust in that should help a little more. The only place now the air is being restricted would be the catalytic convertor and high flow cat should take care of that. All in all, for the price I paid for it, I'm happy with it because I did notice a change.

I asked Brad how much they sell the kits for (cold air and throttle body spacer) and he said $279.99 plus taxes! so yeah, you got a great deal

I am up in Huntsville this weekend. I stopped by MBRP and had them adjust the hangars on two of the pipes (one needed about 1cm cut off since it was holding it too far from the frame, and another was a hair short so they welded a washer on the end so that it couldnt slip out of the rubber hangar)

Steve gave me a tour of the plant and I picked up some windshield light brackets.

Great guys up here at MBRP.

You will love the exhaust. I notice more power at the low end with it.

I wouldnt want to replace the cat in this system though, it looks like they are integral to the headers.

I plan on getting the JK headers from RIPP MODS and that kit comes with hi flow cats. And according to RIPPS the exhaust that best worked with the JK headers was the off road exhaust from MBRP.

I wonder if some of the hangers on my exhaust will need adjustment? I can't exactly just make a trip to huntsville on a whim.
