Default A Sad Day

Sniffle,

Took a few minutes tonight and took off the soft top and threw on the hard top for the winter. I wasn't planning on doing it so soon, but not a lot of time off in the next while, and with the tail end of the hurricane weather calling for upwards of 200mm of rain, i figured it was just about time...

I know the freedom panels come out, but it just isn't the same as having the top down.

Any limit to how fast I limit myself to if I take the pannels out, or should I pop the back window to get a breeze through..

Cheers

Marc

It was a sad summer also for the Jeepers; 2 months of rain here in Quebec. I've never seen such thing in my life.

I'm not ready to put my hard top. I will put it just before the first snow.

I won't be doing anything but local runs this fall, too much other stuff on the go. That and the wife keeps spending all me monies.....

THat being said, it was a crappy summer. We did get a nice week just before school started back for the kids, and I loved the top down.

As for this hard top and winter stuff, its a Canadian thing. We can drive up to a hill in our JK, take the hard top of and use it to go sledding down hill. Then winch ourselves back up again. Remote winch is a must...

Cheers

I just leave the soft top on all winter.....the snow does no damage to it, and it holds heavy ice just fine, plus I have noticed no difference at all in the temperature in the Jeep with either top.

I can't be bothered every 6 months with the off and on of tops, its too much of a pain the butt.

If you complain about the cold, you're not a real outdoors type. Just put on a coat and gloves.
