Default Saskatchewan - going back

Apparently, Sascatchewan is going forward with a new set of laws regarding vehicle height and size of tires. The maximum tire size allowed will be 34inches or whatever size is on the door card. Rear height limitations will also be in place.

This is a severe hit to the offroad community there.

Most likely.

Just another instance of someone (or some people) having too much time on their hands!

So what happens when we're passing through for the G2-Northern Challenge....or anyone else who may be border line to the restriction and is simply passing through....do we have to adjust our vehicles to suit Saskatchewan HTA??

Something doesn't seem right here.....

Doing this doesn't allow other drivers with maybe larger vehicles to pass through??

I think their insurance regime is Crown owned (if only...) and there is a concern that "excessive" modifications compromise vehicle safety on a day to day basis....

ETA: It will be an insurance policy, not a law. Vehicles will have their insurance revoked if they don't meet the standards. Apparently it is based upon a study done by SGI.

Meh, I dont think you will get hasseled much if you are driving through with different provincial plates. Although I am pretty sure the cops in Sask have solved ALL crime, so you never know.

Not to mention if you are that high, they can see you coming as soon as you hit the border, wait the 6 hours for you to get there then give you the ticket
