Snowmobile trails
Forrest conservation? Torn up forestry trails can wound animals (moose and the like) as well as alter local ecology. In a conservationist's eyes snowmobiles ride ontop (LOL) of snow thus not harming the integrity of the forest. Not being a huger here but Jeepers have tried for years to maintain decent wheeling ethics looking out for the sake of the land.
The ones that go out and tear things up give wheelers a bad name thus pushing lawmakers to close land to orv's and the like. It's like giving a politician a free feather to play in his campaign hat. Kinda see my drift here?
Here in the U.S land for off road recreation is being closed by the hundred-acre on a constant basis due to the inconsiderate wheelers out there that go out and rip up shop because they have a rig that can ... that alone does not grant the right to. I do not know how it is in Canada but I speak from a state that has closed ALL of it's public off road trails to jeepers ,buggys , and trucks altogether.

I hate the people that ruin things for others by doing stupid stuff. That has to be the one thing that pisses me off beyond belief.
Regardless, it would be super difficult to keep track of where you are on the trail system, especially when the trail markers are all harvested before the spring time. The trails virtually don't exist during the warm months. All of the trails around here run through private farmland, used with permission from the OFSC and local clubs. So in short, that's an unfortunate no.

In most area's within Ontario you can use the Snowmobile trails (i.e. 5 points trail system), they open to off roaders in Central Ontaio on May 1st. Try to hook up with a local Jeep/off-road club or attend a few meet and greets in your area for more into.
