Default Stop The Coaltion

Agree with me or not...
Agree with Harper or not...

This is not how DEMOCRACY works, email the Governor General and let your voice be heard. Please Stand up for democracy.

I just got of the phone with the office of my elected official and this is the ONLY way to stop this now.

info@gg.ca

If the coalition passes... whats the point of voting?

For those of you who arent in the "know".....long story short is that if you voted for Harper, it doesnt matter, Dion will be Prime Minister, supported by seperatists. Not good.

And dont turn this into a French vs English thing either...There is a big difference between a Quebecois and a Seperatist Quebecois.

This just in.....

Elizabeth May, of the Green Party.....who didnt even get a single seat in Parliament...is now confirming her support for the Coalition....and here is the kicker:

She has been asked to join the coalition and she has accepted.....meaning, she will get a seat in Parliament.....HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK?!

This is beyond reasonable....certainly beyond my level of comfort and acceptance.

I've been trying not to freak out over this all day at work. I'm am completely speechless at this BS!! Elizabeth May is psychotic. She won't get a seat in Parliament Zeero, Dion will make her a senator (for life remember) given there are currently alot of vacancies and once she's a senator, she can be a cabinet member. That's bad enough. To top it off, the guy who had the worst election showing in the history of the Liberal party, that Canadians rejected across the board and whose own party had knives in his back before the final ballots were even cast, is now going to be PM. Canada has become a complete banana republic.

It makes me ill just to think about it, and I can't see a coalition like this having any sort of longevity, however it isn't unlawful in our parlimentary system, just nausiating.

The idea of the bloc, a pimple on the ass of canadian politics, have the final say in all votes of any substance makes me wish for a military coup. What quebec needs is a solid party that represents that provence that has federalism as its goal, instead of the seperatist bloc.

And assuming that DION steps down in may when the liberals are supposed to have a leadership election who takes over then....Thats all we need is BOB RAE leading us through another financial crisis. He did such a great job in Ontario in the early 90s....

I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Cheers

Marc

Definitly agree. It is the voting public that will suffer. Every election they say there is not enough voter turnout. Why the hell should anybody vote at all if it really doesn't mean anything. The people have spoken in the last election. The government should remain Conservative.

I didn't vote as I couldn't care less who runs the country, I accept and support what the majority of the population in our country wants...
This backstabbing and disregard of the public's oppinion is just wrong, I'll definatly sighn and take part in any protest to keep the elected government in power.
I only hope the govoner general does her job and stops this and preferably force all involved to resighn their currupt political careers.

I hope the Governer General takes everyone into a room and says "Stephane!! Stop your crying and grow up, Steven, dont listen to his crying and yelling, now get back to work" and she puts a stop to this whole thing.

But then again, I hope she calls an election.....a short, fast, no campaigning election.....just open the polls, let the voters go solely on what they know RIGHT NOW, and have at it.
