Default Superchips back to stock

Well I have put my superchips back to stock settings . I did this because next week the clock spring will be replaced. I will be seeing how it runs now as I do have a sprint booster installed and have been curious of the difference. If It runs like I expect it to , I might not install it back. Just keep it for codes and stuff. May even get better gas mileage who knows. I will be in a testing phase for a while and see. Will report my findings.

What performance tune are you running? i switched from 87 to 91, and while i do notice a little more power my fuel economy went for i s*@%. Thinking of returning it to the 87 tune?

You won't get a better fuel economy with SuperChips. This is an urban legend, and B.S. coming from SuperChips

I was actually running 91 but eventually was using 87 octane. I never really could say that I had a increase in power. I got this because of the lag in stepping on the gas with the slow response. When I put on the sprint booster it did what it says. You put your foot on the gas and it is instant response. Drove 82km to work today and it drives exactually the same with out the tuning of the superchips. So my initial is that the best bang for the buck is the sprint booster . I will keep the superchips for all the other tunes but that is it.

Well it's been over a week since I returned my programer to stock and can say no difference at all. The sprint booster is the best thing I have gotten for the Jeep that made a measurable difference in performance. Superchips not so. I may try the crawl tune . That is one I have not used. It might just be a overpriced code reader.

I'm moving up to 35's, would I need a sprint booster? !

I was always warned I'd need to change gear ratio if moving up in size. What say you?

well a sprint booster will help with response not power. I would imagine you have 3:73 gears. Try it for a while and see. changing gears give you more bang for your buck. I am just thinking now the super chips is not all it claims for me anyway. My buddy is getting a new 12 unlimited with 4:10's and wants to go 35". I say no problem at all.
