call the folks at Ganaraska Forest. They let Jeeps in now.

Other than that nothing closer than about an hour and a half or so.

Couple legal areas in Hamilton (Mud & 20) and up towards Milton (short but good for 1st timers). The key word for these are that they're unsssumed or unmaintained roads, so they're technically legal.

Coke plant, seaway, anywhere else within 200km of Toronto? It's a safe bet that it's a no-go zone.

Keyword for legal is crown-land, and NOT a provincial park or other protected area.

Aside from that - Parry Sound, Bobcageon, Minden, Baysville - all great trail systems. Join a local club, get invited wheeling. No honest wheeler is going to share trails online around here.

If you're interested we could put together a small (4-6 jeep) JK run up to Ardbeg, or somewhere safe for stockers, and show you what our machines are capable of. I'd want to keep it small though, there's a decent learning curve.

Coley...I'd love to join you! I'm heading to trailfest this year but I'm dying to get my girl off the pavement for a bit. I bought her last August. If the date works for me I'm in for sure!

Racing Stripes at Ardbeg? The south trail? It's as wide open as you can possibly get?!?
