I think all these guys gave you pretty good advise. Check to see if you disturbed something. If it is slipping, I wouldn't change the oil before you took it to the dealer, just another thing for them to weasel their way out. But if you do decide to change it, make sure you use the right oil, they'll weasel out for sure if the right oil is not in there, even though it doesn't make that much of a difference. I haven't had one of these apart yet, only the 45rfe's in the bigger dodge trucks, but, from what I gather, they're similar in design. There are no bands to adjust. If I were in your shoes, I'd clean my Jeep and take it in for a warranty issue, you have low miles, and trail riding would not have caused any problem that wouldn't have occured on the road anyway. Good luck and keep us posted.

Transmission is fine fixed the problem. However I am never telling any of you what the problem was..... I will say it had nothing to do with the transmission just a really dumb thing that I do not want to share with you guys cause I will never hear the end of it!!!!!. I must thank you all for all the help and ideas!!

Common tell the truth.. It was a user interface error .... You let Sheri drive it Monday to Friday... Anytime YOU drive it on Sat or Sun it seems to run fine......

you know we're gonna tease you anyways "Mr. Transmission" so you may as well tell us, otherwise we just assume the worst!

Hahaha everyone, Steve's hampster got caught in the tranny clutch plate, he has since gotten him out and back to the "cozy hole" that he's used to being in!

See buddy, it can be much worse!

he power washed the engine and got water in the intake
or
you put a rag in the intake to keep water out , forgot the rag was there and sucked it in to the filter and had no power.

We have a winner, it was an empty Trenton Ice cube bag that I used.....and forgot to take out, I crawled under the jeep looking at the transmission, checking for anything not connected(Wow alot of mud everywhere under there) lifted the hood looking for loose conections of some kind, and then it hit me, I never took the Ice bag out after I washed the engine LOL. The only thing I wonder is why did it do it at exactly 3000rpm and then shoot up to 4000rpm. It never ran rough at all?? oh well it is all good now, I am a dumby but at least I found it and didnt get laughed at by the dealership...thats if they found it. thanks again guys
