Which type of bumper.
Hey, the wife and I are thinking about putting a new front bumper on our JK (I know it only just turned a month old) but we want to replace that stock looking thing .
I was thinking going with the AEV Front Bumper with Winch Mount and Tow Loops but I also like the look of the HighRock 4X4 Bumper with the Tubular Guard....
Does anyone have any suggestions/opinions on the matter ... I know it comes down to personal preference but it's always nice to get some feed back from other Jeep'ers...

Winch/No Winch?
Retain Stock Fog or not?
Skid?
E Disco Skid?
Coating?
tubes or no tubes?
A good place to start:
Bumper Comparison
Or you can go custom like me

I think we're leaning towards the AEV , because I can retain the stock fogs, we can add a skid plate if we want that will cover the E Disco. It comes black textured powder coated and has the Tube Guard for the grill. The winch mount is included and it sits low enough that should we not put one in for a bit, it won't look like a huge hole out of place in the middle of the damn thing..
Thanks, I'll check that out.

AEV requires a lot of work to install
also it is 1/8th steel
it is made from a stamp process so think of chev or ford truck bumpers once dented that is it they go all out of shape
careful in your choice and explore all options
for the price of the aev you could buy 2 mopar bumpers
drill your own hole for the lights
or mount axillary lights to the switch through a relay
think of long term not looks

Lots of bumper out there. I really like the Shrockworks Mid width. That Was My other choice. You may have to wait a long time before it shows up at you door though. I really like my LoD bumper. Best bang for the buck, for sure, and really good quality. Great customer service, too.

Check out the Rugged Ridge modular....that would be my most reasonable suggestion.....you can choose one bumper and customize it to order.....45 different ways i think.
Very strong, durable and reasonable priced, and will last the long haul.

Art, yesterday called. They were wondering where you were. I took the message and told them you were drunk living in a van down by the river.
