If you can swing it ..go to the States....I saved over $1200 on my wheels and tires crossing the border. I hate suggesting it...but the more you save....the more mods you can do.

I like the sound of saving 1200! It would be worth the 4 hour drive. Can u suggest any places to shop close to the boarder? Did you have them installed there or just claim them crossing back over and pay the duty? The place I was going to buy from wont sell me anything smaller then stock 17. Wtf

Dunn Tire has a lot of locations across the border....that's where I went. Their prices are phenomenal ...the prices you see on their website are installed and balanced. They even took out my old valve stems and remounted my old wheels and tires.

As to declaring them....it's up to you. Some will just dirty them up and then come back across the border ....the problem is what are you doing with your old tires and wheels? If you are bringing them back you will have to declare them.

Hey Thanks for the info! Could be going for a road trip real soon then, and take the wife to niagra for the night, Win win. I would be going for rims and tires so they would have to come back with me.

Went into Tunton tire for my rim test fit yesterday. I am going with a 15inch ion 171 rim and 35" cooper stt, the rim it fits great. so if anyone else it thinking about 15 that is an optinon for you. The guys there were very helpful and offer a good price. I got a quote form discount tire in the states and after gas or shipping it works out to the same price, and i wold rather support some local guys anyway! Now its just the waiting game for the tires to come in

a 15" rim is cutting it pretty close. I guess if they tested it.....you are good to go.

There is a large thread on here under show and tell and lots of guys are using 15s without issue, so they say. So I figured I would go that way to save some money to put to another mod. Will post Picts soon

As long as it has the proper amount of BS then you'll have no problem with the 15".. As number of guys are running 15" with 35's. If you go much bigger then a 35 I'd start looking at 16 or 17's... It's the amount of side wall you need to start worring about.
