Brisket is AWESOME on the egg. One of my favorites! If you keep the temp nice and low and have enough time it is a winner every time.

I've heard good things bout the egg, but haven't ever been around any cooking on one, it seems like a lot of cash for a small cooking area, what is the upside, or advantage of a cooker like that?

I've got some friends with Eggs and Primo XLs. The real benefit of these ceramic "ovens" is how consistently they can maintain/control the heat which makes them great as very hot grills and for smoking things at lower temps that have to be held consistent for long periods of time. The major downside I think is just basic care of the units and risk of cracks in the ceramic....not to mention pure weight. I transitioned to a small Cookshack Smokette electric smoker about a decade ago. Still about the best $650 I spent. I gave up the beauty of a smoke ring in my meat for ease of use. The flavor is just as good as ever, it uses a minuscule amount of wood, but the best part is it's so easy the spousal unit even uses it!

rlew0083, well, I prefer a good old one cooking method - a grilling in fire pit. Of course, by using something like spark screen for my fire pit. By the way, I'm looking for a new one, and considering to choose one of these here ( resource: https://bestyardproducts.com/best-fi...-spark-screen/ ). Looks like model Catalina Creations 32″ - is one of the best spark screens they have.
