Best shop in north jersey!!!!!!
I guess you never looked at the install direction on the AEV kit but they are far from perfect. As far as the work. He did my truss, welds look great everthing was top notch. He called me threw out the day kept me informed. I was working nearby and stopped in a few times and inspected and all was top notch. I have to also state over the years I've had many modified cars done by top shops and I wouldn't be recommending him so highly if it wasn't one of the best experences I have had and I have 30+ years experence going to performance shops
What does this have to do with HIM installing my steering stabilizer wrong? In fact, I have looked at the installation instructions and that's what confirmed he installed it wrong. So, HE didn't look at it correctly, not ME. Not hear to go back and forth, I'm here simply to give my opinion that I wasn't pleased with the install they did there...
Your opinion seems more towards saying he does a bad job, but the way your doing seems more geared to plug the hopatcong shop (which is cool thats what this thread is about) but at Jay's and ACOR's expense. Which do me seems like you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. In time and experience that happens with all shops and suppliers as a matter a fact. I doubt there is any shop in the country that hasn't made a small mistake it's how they handle that mistake that makes a great reputation

While ACOR (Jay) is good(price-wise) and installed my AEV lift kit, I was a little weary after the fact I found out my steering stabilizer was installed incorrectly. Something as simple as that made me wonder if anything else was installed incorrectly. Needless to say, I crawled under to check everything and minor things needed correction.
Wasn't too pleased after that experience considering that I had to not only recheck everything myself, I found additional problems I had to fix. Again, good price but don't think I'd ever have work done there again.
On the other hand, The 4x4 Place in Lake Hopatcong - TOP NOTCH PLACE. Did my gears, installed my front driveshaft, welded on my gussets, replaced my rear driver side axle seal, and added my ARB differential covers with lubelockers. They took their time on the install and didn't rush things, kept me updated on the install if any issues came up, etc.

While I found that I ate my own words when I referred them to you, that was probably 2-3 days after my install. Being that I found issues further down the road, I will retract my recommendation to go to them. I would suggest the place in lake hopatcong in lieu of the other place. Hope I don't get "internet bashed" for mentioning them over RRP777's beloved ACOR shop.

To each his own,but again I rate them A+ and would go back again. A work friend who as been there everytime I've been there is bringing his 2002 WJ Monday for a BDS 4" lift so I guess he was happy to the work on mine.
No experience with them, but from what I've heard - nothing but good reviews and most importantly, have been around/experienced long enough. So, I take it you got a quote and set an appointment?
Now, who wants a beer? I could go for one...
