gonna bump this back up. I will probably be looking to have a leveling kit or a 2.5 lift put on in the near future. Looking at rims and tires too.

Anyone have any experience with Krazy House? I have heard hit or miss that they can be very expensive.

Also, after reading this, I am considering touching base with Globex and seeing what they have to say.

My original labor quote from Krazy House was $850. After Tax and fluids it ended up at $1279. I brought it in on a Wednesday and it was supposed to be done on Friday. They claimed the increase in labor cost was because they had to bring a guy in on the weekend to finish because a part was missing. But they still hadn't finished until around 6pm on Monday. Less than a week later there was an issue with a bearing failing that they initially tried fighting me on. They covered the costs aside from the $310 in towing, and everything is ok now. When I called to find out if they took pictures like they were asked to show what caused the issue they didn't have pictures. Then said it was probably caused by me banging my rear drive shaft while off roading. They tried to tell me there was all kinds of new damage to my skid plates. I wouldn't bring my jeep back there.

Yeah....that is not good. I have only heard positive about Globex so I think they are the route I am going. I dealt with ECS in New Egypt with my camaro but they don't work on Jeeps obviously otherwise I would be over there quick quick quick!

I had an issue with globex as well but comparatively their customer service was way way better than Krazy house. Globex installed my lift and a few other small things. The only time I had any issue they immediately offered to fix it free of charge, and never came in over budget because they undersold a job like Krazy house. I've taken my jeep to 4 different garages in the last year that I've had it, I would recommend them in this order...

ACOR 4x4, I've only taken my jeep here once to get rails welded on, others have had problems that were taken care of. I had planned to bring my jeep here to get the gears done but they were the highest labor quote @ $1500. This included installing an arb compressor and air locker.

Globex, Mike and Mike know what they're doing, the only real issue I ever had was because they had someone else doing the welding who must not have done a set of gussets before.

The 4x4 Place, These guys seem to be fairly knowledgeable, but they take their time. It took them almost 5 hours to put my hood louver on. They at least split the overage with me.

Krazy House Customs, Went $429 over the initial quote bringing the final price over quotes from other shops. Took several days extra to complete the work which ended up needing to go back less than a week later to be fixed. They blamed the parts, saying Yukon overhaul kits are junk and the bearings commonly fail. They then blamed me saying that I went off roading after they did my gears. In reality I had put less than 120 miles on my jeep in the 6 days I had it for all on pavement never over 65 mph.

Aside from recent problems with stuff that ACOR has done I'd say yes. If you want stuff done right the first time take it to the 4x4 place in Lake Hopatcong if you're in North Jersey. If you're in Central Jersey Globex is an option. If you go to globex just make sure that pony tail/skinny mike is doing/checking the work and you won't have any issues.

Another thumbs up for The 4X4 Place in Lake Hopatcong. They did my gears, driveshafts, gussets, and TrueTrac in the rear. Free check up when I thought I had an issue, took everything apart, filled me back up with Royal Purple at no charge.

As Jordan said above (JE8154), they take their time. However, I have had NO problems with any of their work and I'm going on 1 1/2 years on the installs and many wheeling trips. Other shops - different story.
