You will also be very disappointed with the lack of waving on the island. Was there a few weeks ago and I went 1 for 20 with the waving.

Lets be honest here: On a weekend - Just DRIVING on the GSP is taking your life into your hands --- taking a hand off the wheel to wave, could get you killed!

It also seems that, only the modded jeeps, will wave back in NJ. As long as it looks like I have done something to the jeep, they wave to me - Maybe a lot of the "no wavers", refuse to wave, because I'm a girl? We have is one guy around my neighborhood, that drives a red TJ, and REFUSES to wave to me I know that he waves because he flashes the "Peace Sign" wave at the hubby.. I Know that, I at least have, my share of aftermarket mods on my jeep - and even though, it is far from stock anymore,,,,, that ONE guy,,,,not even a pinky comes off of his steering wheel, in any attempt at a wave,,,,I just say "whatever" and keep waving, maybe one day that pinky will come up in recognition (Lets just hope that, it isn't a different finger)!

Don't forget that, A LOT of the jeeps at the shore are, housewives and mall mommies, that don't know what the meaning of the wave REALLY is So sad,,,it's such a waste, of such a great vehicle.

I had about the same results last week in Seaside Park. Even got a couple weird looks from people I waved at.

i wouldnt woory about it that much, every jeep driver is different, i see a yellow unlimited every day going the oposite direction as me on the pa turn pike on my way home, hes heading toward allentown and im heading back to jersey, we ALWAYS wave to each other, but then i see the SAME stock black 2 door going over the comm barry bridge, i wave at him everyday, and get NOTHING back. to each thier own i guess. i do on the other hand get alot waves back from the mall moms around my area.

My wife used to think I was an idiot doing the Jeep wave, she has since then started driving it to work fell in love with the Jeep, and now gets angry at anyone that won't wave back.
