I don't know if I'd be able to do Rausch but let me know if y'all head back to GWNF. I may try to join up next time.

By the way, here's a few pics from my last trip to Shoecreek.

I’m going to continue to edit my pictures - in my rush to hop out of my Jeep with the camera and get into a safe spot for pictures, I realized that one of my camera’s settings was off (discolored my pictures in result).

So, that gallery link will be continue to be updated with some touched-up photos. Hopefully at the next outing I can get some more photos (and better ones).
Great pictures.

Looks fun, I'll have to figure out where it is. I'll be sure to let you know. Just so you know we'll only be running stick friendly trails if we go to rausch.

It's pretty easy to get to. I'll post the coordinates. Easiest way to get there haha.

And good to know on Rausch. What's the drive time to get there?

I don't know where you live but I left from Fredericksburg with another guy and it was 4 hours going 55-65mph the whole way. 5 hours from richmond, 3:15 from my house near Manasass

That's not too bad. I'd be heading out from the Charlottesville area so not too much further. Either way, I'll keep checking the threads and try to join up for the next trip.

Cody, you need to plan part two to this trip since I got shafted with working this time around haha. Or, maybe we can get up with Red Cloud and see what we need to do to get to wheel there one weekend...

37 47.263 N 079 06.173 W Here are the coordinates to the Shoecreek trailhead. Just plug it into google maps and it takes you right to it.

Just talked to a friend who's been out the last two weekends. Still open.

Stubicon - from Cville, you’re looking at about 2 hours to be on the dirt. 64W to 81N to 33W and then that left hand turn. Really straightforward drive. I live right next to 33 in Harrisonburg, so if you ever want help finding the trailhead or want to go on a ride, let me know.

mikeJKUR - thanks! Camera had a bad setting on (didn’t notice when running around) so color correction is my life right now. Hoping to get more done later, and next time I’ll take my time with pictures.

Cody - screw it, I’m down for the weekend of the 6th. Never been to Rausch, so I'm down for that. Or going GWNF again. It’s really up to you guys - my only issue with Rausch is having a 4 hour drive afterwards, unless we camp there.
