Matt, no problem on a winching hand! Good to see you not baby it on first outing. I hand a good time, and was nice to meet other locals.

If others go, make sure it has not rained for a couple of days, lots of red clay.

What type of obstacles do they have? Is it pretty much just power line trails?

Yes, a good bit of power line trails, with steep fitted climbs. A rock step at the end of th power line trails if you think you capable. We then followed a narrow trail back into the woods, it has some good deep mud holes, a small drop off ledge, you end up by river because it narrowed to just atv trail, if we get permission it would nice to get group and spend day widening the trail. If you mapquest it, it shows as a road.
There another trail we want to try but did not have time. It all red clay, so if just rained you screwed.
Hope this helps. For $12.50 I had a better time then at Gulches.

This is end of power line trails. We came down to the right. You can see rock step half way up on left side.

Thanks for the winch Bill Those mud holes were deeper than I thought. Should'a stayed right like our first pass through that area but hey, you live and learn.

Cant wait to go again soon!

As it looks now I'm gonna be out of town on the 28th so I'll have to sit this outing out. I do however have a pile of hardware sitting in my living room that needs to be installed on the jeep. No more getting out of our jeeps to talk and hopefully no more fender rubbing.

I'm still washing mud out of the nooks and crannies but hey...no pain no gain. That mud was fun...once.

Matt, you did great and did not baby it first time out with it! You live in the south, so get used to it, if you want to wheel it. Others wise just another mall crawler.

Maybe it was a bad choice to go to lake houser on a rainy day. Had lots of fun but it's been two weeks and I still can't get rid of all the mud.
