Lift Install Meet & Greet Maybe?
Hey all.
The snorkel just got installed this past weekend and I am ready to pull the trigger on some more stuff. By this weekend, I will be ordering my Rough Country 4" with arms, as well as some adjustable front and rear trackbars.
I know that we had originally put out a little thing for a "pre-wharton mod party" and that it kind of fell flat. Now, I know that I am capable of installing this lift myself, but, figured I would throw this out there to see what some of the thoughts are. Would anyone be interested in trying to put together another little modding meet and greet?

I'd be into it, I do have to replace my control arm bushings, just cant do the 13th, I'll be getting muddy in GA well as long as I get my new driveshaft in by then haha
Tom that lift have adjustable control arms?

the 13th was just a thought because of the ribs. damn they are tasty
there's no guarantee that i will even get the lift in that quick. once the lift and trackbars come in, we will put together a firm date.
after this, i'll have to look at my shafts. are they hard to swap out? or is it pretty quick and easy. AND, do you think i could skate by with just a new rear shaft?
my goal this summer is to get the lift and driveline components where i want them. then comes bumpers/winch and my 35's.
EDIT -->Tim, no, they are fixed length arms. i don't plan on going bigger than this lift. i would guess that they are dialed in properly since they are part of the kit...

Driveshafts werent that bad to swap out. We just swaped out our for JE Reel 1350's. Just make sure you have all the right tools before starting... like a 1 5/16", 1 1/8" and 1 1/4" sockets. A gear puller made easy work of removing the factory flanges
i debated getting the basic kit and springing for a full set of adjustables and damn near crapped myself at the price. everything i have read so far on the RC lift with arms is that, so long as you don't plan on going any bigger, these arms are perfect. once i get a bumper and winch on the front, i may toss my 3/4" spacers back in there just to level it, but, that would put it back to about what it should be before the added weight sag. i am guessing that since they are "made" for this particular kit, that it addresses any caster issues.

do they make driveshafts? the adjustable arms help you with your pinion angles. I havent seen anyone complain about the rc lifts though really
in the modified section, someone started the "all components needed for rc 4inch" thread and i saw teraflex posted something along those lines. that a 4" lift with fixed arms is
. sent a pm asking him to explain. if the arms were shit or incorrect, they probably wouldn't offer them, as it would cause problems down the line. i'd call rough country, but, honestly, do i expect them to say anything negative about their arms? and likewise, do i expect a competing vendor to say anything good about them? kinda stuck here. i mean, i can get the kit with the arms, and if i have issues with pinion, i suppose i can buy adjustables for upper or lower to dial it in. that would SUCK, but, it could be done.

Clayton is some tuff stuff
you could also do the teraflex 4in flexarm for 2400
Mr. T the 4" RC lift with the arms is very good. We installed at Lou's house. Bunch of great guys put it on and I'm happy with the lift. I'm in if my work schedule is good for the date. I sure Pagoda we be there.
