Default Sorry for the mis-communication.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass but it would be easier to get guys to a trail ride then a meeting. I was trying to follow your tread about your Pa trip. But there are alot of posts on this forum and I don't come on here all that much. I was under the assumption that you were trying to get a seperate ride going to Rausch Creek. Again, I'm sorry about the communication gap.

Hey Dog,
I went by to visit you today, you had costumers with you walking in parking lot.
Parts discount sounds like a great idea.

Default Nice deal, I get 15% off at Storms.

[
They give me 15% off at Storms Jeep. I can also order stuff with out leaving a deposit. I do have to remind them of my discount though. I've gone there a few times and paid list. Especially since I gave them my Rubi bumpers with air dam and tow hooks. They always get wrecks and they sell them the take off stuff. I'm sure those stock tupperware bumpers aren't cheap.

With that said Bob I talked to the owners son at my dealership yesterday about setting up some kind of a discount for all of our club members to use at the parts dept. I told him we have a lot of guys who fix there own jeeps etc. and that from time to time they need factory parts and what not. He was a big fan of the idea so it is in the works. He is trying to figure out how we are going to identify club members. We might do some kind of membership card or pic ID type of thing. Either way it is in the works so if you want spread the word and once I got it all set up I will let you all know.[/QUOTE]

Default Hey Dog, I'm happy you can help out.

I live way too far from Hunting ton to take advantage of your discount or I would be there too.

Default Trail Ride Saturday January 26th

Mass./ Conn. border. It's probably the easiest trail we run but should have snow which will make lots of fun for stockers through hard core. In snow I've seen open diffed rigs beat the snot out of double locked rigs on 35's.

I've decided to go on this run, Should be lots of snow.
I'm driving up either early Saturday morning or Friday evening. I will have my co pilot Rocky my German Shepard with me. Oh and I will be in the JK. Not trailering.

There will be a brand new 08 4 dr. Rubi there as well as my 2 dr. I have a winch and air [Warn PowerPlant} if anyone needs assistance.

All are welcome. Come have fun for the day in the snow. I will let you in on a little secret though. It becomes very addicting.

Is this right around Tolland, Bob?

I airsoft in Tolland right off of 54- about 2 miles from Rt 8, and happen to have a game up there that weekend. So I will be in the vicinity for sure. Where exactly is the meetup?

Are these trails stock friendly? As in M/Ts and nothing else. Wouldn't want to drive up there and break something and not have a ride back, especially on a new Jeep.

I ran this trail a few months ago in my TJ. I ran most of it in 2 WD. That was when the trail was dry. There was one mud hole that was off the side of the trail that I went in and got stuck. I would be very comfortable running this trail in a stock Jeep. I normally trailer my Jeep to every trail ride and I'm not even trailering. I'm going up Friday night after work and getting a hotel room nearby in Torrington, Ct. .

And as far as the location of the trail. I can't give the exact location because we don't want a bunch of guys driving up and hotdogging around. It is right near Route 8 at the Mass/ Conn border. The trail ride starts in Mass and ends in Conn. If anyone is interested in going feel free to call me.

We do have a few rules that you must abide by,

1) No alcohol or drugs on any trail ride.
2) No tow ropes with metal ends, Only tow straps.
3) You must have a spare tire and jack and correct size lug wrench.
4) Front and rear tow points.
If you don't have a tow strap don't worry, I always bring at least one. And as far as tow hooks go, If you don't have them and you get stuck you might get some damage to you vehicle while being pulled out. I'm giving you a worst case scenerio.

I'm hoping for some snow which is always fun to play in.

My cell is (516) 903-0011

Bob, count me as interested for sure. Do you have a time frame and meeting place?

I have to make my game up there, but I can probably show up late for it or leave early from it, would love to get out with a bunch of experienced folks for a real trail ride and meet the LI offroad crew.
