I did my best to read all 170-some-odd pages of this thread... skipped some of 2007 and a few other gaps..
I'm a local Long Islander.. have my JK about a year and just started to gain some momentum and direction with mods. Lord knows I have been bitten before.. Coming from a 2001 Audi S4 modified to the gills. I remember a conversation out at OBI and said, $500...that's my budget for mods.. that all I need. $50k later and the Audi is a 500hp driveway queen. I enjoy the JK much more!
That said, looking forward to connecting with you locals once we get to know each other! Sounds like you have a nice group of people here!
JK is mostly stock now, other than some cosmetic and ergonomic mods. Gotta get out on the beach and put those permits I bought to use!!

Yes, you'll only need $500 for the Jeep too!
I'll head over to whatever beach you are all on likely around 12:30-1pm. I have to be in Nassau county leaving around noon.

Someone said CB 19. Although usually people do 4, but ok.

SOOOO its looking like heres the plan...
Sore Thumb, 10am meet up 11am start ???
there is really one way I know to get to RM and I am thinking we can ALL meet pretty easily at the gas station right near there...
sooo before you go too far on the robert moses cause way *if thats the way you go* get off on 27A heading east, (aka Montauk Highway) like 500 feet up the road on your left there is a gas station and i believe a convience store.... we could set a meet time there for 10:30 and all roll out from there at 11am... we will be on the beaches by 11:15 anyone who wants to meet later or is running late just call people or tune in to CB station 19 (i dont have a cb yet :( ) I am sure if we all turn up you will see us all !!

If you guys actually know the getty station on the corner of sunrise highway and the Robert Moses Causeway, thats my block. I will offer my house as a meeting spot. Hope it doesn't rain.
