I wanna do the cooler but it'll be a PITA since my winch blocks grill removal.

but u shouldn't be over heating just cruising around the beach.

also, I prefer 4LO. I don't know why people avoid it. Low keeps RPMs up, torque converter has less strain slipping, and the low ratio means everything doesn't work as hard. the speeds on beach are low.

Use 4L Matt. I never use 4HI when I'm on the beach (when I do go to the beach for the clean ups). There's a lot of force to get the tires to turn on the loosely packed sand that these beaches have. 4L and 2nd gear for me.

The ONLY time I use 4HI is when I'm on the road and there's a LOT of snow on it. Other than that, 4L.

well i went to jeep today and between them and people on the forum, i no its the tranny light that comes on. so im either tonight or tomorrow night ordering a tranny cooler (any brand names or good recommendations????). when i come home from vacation, im having jeep do n oil change for me(i have 3 free years thats why they do it) and im having them switch from regular oil to penzoil synthetic, switching my tranny fluids to synthetic, getting the oil temp light recall checked out, and having them run my jeep through the computer for any faults in the system. if that doesnt do it i give up!! but serioulsy and advise on which tranny cooler to go with let me know!!! on another note, just got my x4 spider trax 1.5" wheel spacers today!!! put em on and man do they actually make a difference! looks good! but i used my own BLUE lock tight instead of the companys knock off red!! im not really worries about it

B&M all the way.

Don't let Jeep touch your rig.

Spray paint your grill gloss black.
