Trying to stay focused on what I know I will use.. function precedes form for me.
I am out in a Montauk for a week in the summer and then again once the crowds leave so yes! Let's plan a M&G out there!! Maybe at Cyril's for a lobster roll!!

Question about sore thumb!? I went today with a buddy of mine in his jeep and the sign says you need the state park pass and a big OR town of Babylon beach pass, they give those out all summer... Am I wrong? Lol

Performed my first vehicle recovery this weekend.
I was sitting at Hecksher park on Sunday, down by the area where people launch sailboats and catamarans. As I was leaving I see a little commotion by a Ford F150. I stop to see what's going on and notice his rear wheels are in the water... About half way up. The guy was make phone calls so I figured he was stuck.
I stop to see if I could help, and they took me up on the offer. I wasn't sure how well a stock JKU would do pulling a big F150 out of the water. I hooked up the strap put it in L..and pulled him right out with ease. Granted I was able to get my wheels on a hard surface so I'm sure that helped. Didn't even need 4wd.
It felt good to help someone out like that.
His wife was extremely grateful. He could have showed a little more gratitude, but I guess he was pissed.
I told the wife no problem at all....It's a jeep thing!

Funny story Evan. Always a great feeling to help out your fellow man even if theyre not a jeeper!
