Hey Matt I feel your pain...I tried landing a job in Northern NJ/ NYC for months because my fiance took a job that forced her to relocate to Northern NJ...well long story short I HATED NJ and gave up...she hated living there especially by herself so quit her job and we are now both back in PA.

Good luck in your search & out of curiosity what field are you looking in???

 

North Jersey does suck but I have lived here my whole life, so I'm used to it!
I dont really have a preference, whatever pays really! I am a licensed pesticide applicator(5 years experience/ lawn care) I have 2 years experience with banking/teller. 2 years experience with HVAC. 1 yr Burger King, 1yr Bakery, 1 yr Liquor store, 1 yr Foodtown

 

my buddies company will have a job in jersey, wherever the refineries are, I am not familiar with the area. but they will be rebuilding a furnace in a refinery. hard dirty work probably 7-12's but im sure the hourly rate for a helper will be in the 17 or so an hour range. like I said it will be in a coker unit and will be dirty but good money. if you are interested email me your resume. the owners son is my buddy, we grew up together. his is the green jeep in some of my photos. if your not interested I understand. good luck

 

Matt, sorry to hear about the hard times. I think that there is an opening at the power plant where I work. It is in Oxford, NJ. It is labor intensive, but starting pay is $23 per hour.
