Default MCAS Cherry Point, NC door rules

One of my Marines got pulled over two days ago for not having his doors on. Couldn't believe it was a rule seeing how its not a law in NC and base usually will follow state driving laws. Well we looked it up. It is a Air Station Order. I brought my Marine in to pass and ID and told them that my Marine wasn't aware of the rule and has since put his doors back on. He only gave him a warning. What a stupid A$$ rule. Anyway I am just giving anyone heads up if they come to Cherry Point to leave their doors on.

Thanks for the heads up! Some rules on base are pathetic.

Wow..ridiculous. Thanks for the heads up. What are they requirements for a "door?" Knowing the Marine Corps, probably at least a half door, but would we be able to get away with tube doors like the ones Rancho makes?

The MP told him he could have tube doors.

The order hasn't been updated since 2002. Its time the Colonel takes a look at this order.
