My wife and I are eying the Gobi roof rack for our kayaks and would like to get new tires/life in the near future. Can't do anything until we rent our rental house in Bowie. We live in Ellicott City/Columbia and are thrilled with the Jeep experience, the Jeep wave, and everything else Jeep. Thanks for the comradeship.

Oh, BTW, is Adams the best place to install a Jeep lift or are there other good places to consider? Any first hand experience, pics, would be great.
Welcome to the forum. Being in Ellicott City/Columbia you're only about 20-25 miles from Appalachian Off Road in Westminster. Those guys really do great work, have a great turn around time on the work they do and their prices are good too. They've pretty much done everything to my JK and I drive out from Bethesda and feel it's 100% worth the longer trip to get great work. You might just want to take a trip over there one day and talk to John and check out the shop.

I have got great service from Adams Jeep in aberdeen. After purchasing my 08 Rubicon unlimited, I have worked with them for a lift, then wheel and tires. Pricing has always matched anything that you can find on the web.

Default Thanks

Thank you for all the advice and welcomes. It really has been an experience already and we just bought it. The wave, the friendliness in the parking lot, this site and the general sense of community. It borders on surreal this day and age. Thanks again and we hope to meet see some of you on the trail. We're going camping in Green Ridge as a family so that should be a good first experience on that trail. Word is that it is a great trail to cut your teeth on.

The Jeep is practically brand new, barely driven, and never off road. Due to torn labrum in my left hip my sweet JK must be sold. Purchased July 24th. Only 1,279 miles. Asking $28,000. It drives better than stock and the alignment and speedometer have been dialed in perfectly.

My family and I went camping and "wheelin" for the first time last weekend. Given that we had no fellow off roaders to go with and this was a family/first attempt at wheeling, this proved a really nice location for going off road. Not too intense but still a great time and perfect for folks new to going off road in the Wrangler. We were really happy with our experience. Not to mention the car camping was the best we've ever had. Spots were really secluded. We were there 2 full days and hardly saw a soul.

Is this Maryland Check In thread dead? There hasn't been a check in post since 2009. Come on people keep this thread alive! I'm new to Jeeps as I just bought a 07 JK unlimited for my daughters first vehicle. She will be getting her drivers license this week and she is thrilled to drive her Jeep and she's really into the Jeep wave. My wife and I also like the JK as we have just returned from a road trip to Nova Scotia in it. 2600 miles in 8 days and the Jeep ran flawlessly. We live in the Pasadena area and I would love to get my daughter on some beginner trails. The wife and I did some light off-roading and rock climbing in Nova Scotia and we loved it.
So if you live in Maryland send a post to this thread and let's keep it alive! Also if you know of any local trails we can try let us all know.
