I couldn't tell ya on the Big Levels.. i haven't been up there this year, yet. that damn thing called life keeps getting in the way. That said, I would like to get up there soon. As for URE.. I have never been there, but do wanna. The dates you say might be feasible, cause I work my long shift (8-day stretch) the following week (7/26-8/2).
What up JWood? I'm out for the last weekend of the month (see above).

My plans are loose but it looks like either camping in Williamsburg 15/16 or Big Levels that weekend. The next weekend 22/23 is looking good for URE.
Tentatively it'll be myself, a friend, and maybe my younger brother. We've all got 35's which is plenty for URE. I've already got the annual pass but it's cheap ($5 I think) for a day pass and you just kinda putz around. There are absolutely some obstacles and some things are pretty mundane but it's nice to get out of the area. There's camping available down there, you can rent a site or test your luck with finding one. There's an all in one store right there on site for anything you might need and town isn't but 10 mins back up the road.
Keep me posted and I'll update the thread with my plans as they materialize.

I'm doing a day trip to Big Levels, Cold Spring (?), Bald Mountain, and Kennedy Ridge tomorrow. We'll see what's there to see

Sorry for the late response, been rather busy lately.
Trip went pretty good, went up via Dunkle Hollow on Friday and was a nice ride up. Friday night we camped at Flagpole Knob and it dump buckets on us as the remainder of the tropic storm blew across. Woke up to nice cool weather and drove out to see Reddish Knob then cruised down Union Springs. Union was pretty overgrown and rutted out on the upper section compared to last time I was there but still fun. The lower half has been leveled and widened for logging. Ended up camping Saturday near Hone Quarry and found an awesome campsite right on the creek. Over all a good trip, except for when I backed into a tree and my nice new tire carrier pushed in my left corner and cracked my JWSpeaker tail light. Guess it's time to by corner armor to hide the damage concidering that's the second time I dented that corner.
