I might have to join in on this.. Are you doing it at your house ?

Arrow Mod Friendly Dealer in N. Va?

After a "hot oil" light I recently took my Jeep to the local dealer in Warrenton to discuss options for a tranny cooler. After talking to both the service and parts department it was clear to me that they were either clueless, or very good actors. The short version of what they said was, Mopar had no tranny cooler parts to order, I could not add a aftermarket one, and that if I did it would "probably" void my transmission warranty.

With that said, does anyone have a recommendation for a local dealership that both knows what they are talking about and is mod friendly? Specific POC names would be helpful also! FYI, I did not buy from this dealer, because when I was looking they didn't know their own vehicles, and would not budge from the MSRP.

I find this very unusual. I have had nothing but good service from them, and so far they have been mod friendly. But then, I've only been in to have them to my tranny fluid at 60k but I did spend a good 30 minutes talking with the service manager and my BS meter didn't register anything.

I don't believe the person I talked was the service manager, but when he told me he was not familiar with the transmission "hot oil" issues I knew the conversation was not going to be productive. With a 2011, I'm less worried about the lack of specific knowledge, but definitely concerned about the "what if" scenario for warranty work!

I called one of the dealerships up here in Fairfax that was supposed to be a registered Jeep dealership. Like the ones who had 5 star service or whatever. Asked them about the same thing and they seemed confused and told me to bring it in. Well why would be bringing it in allow them to see that it overheated a week prior on the beach? So I went ahead and bought this. Very simple to put on. I had a friend who is a mechanic just walk with me through it.

Mounted it right in front of the radiator.

Hey I posted this as a standalone thread in the East Coast section. It's about taking a trail ride through the GWNF this Saturday. Because it's in VA I thought I would post the link in here.

What time do you think that yall will be coming through the richmond area? If yall don't mind I would like to drive up with yall. This is my first time going but how many people actually stay in the hotel vs camping out?
