I posted this in another place, but figured I would try here too since I'll be heading there this weekend.

Getting to Outer Banks:

Does anyone know if I can get there by going through False Cape State Park? Can I enter the park from the North and drop down to Carova Beach? Or do I have to drive all the way to the bridge by Kitty Hawk?

Nope, no vehicle access that way.

Here's a PDF of some beach driving info if you're planning on going down to Cape Hatteras.

And some general driving info for the OBX area:

Thanks, I was hoping to get there from the north, but I guess I'll just add a little time to the drive. Should be a nice day though!
I would love to go further south, but I'm not sure the people going with me feel like heading that far.

Default Spy Rock

Hey does anyone know if there is a trail to drive to the top of spy rock. I hiked it last summer and swear there was an old road near the top around the AT trail. Could have been the AT for all i can remember. But nice place to camp and would love to get the Jeep a little closer. And not talking about the main road the hike starts out on that is gated.
