Default Outer Banks!

Is anyone on here at the Outer Banks, NC this week? I'm here with my family and brought my Jeep down so I can go up to Carova at some point.

Check out oregon inlet idiots on Facebook and heed their warning. I live an hour north and frequent the area there.

Air down!! You'll be amazed how many people get stuck just getting into the beach. Then driving in soft pact. Were up in Corolla for the 4th weekend. The sands pretty hard right now due to recent rains but don't think it'll last very long.

Watch out for the sharks. We've had six people bitten in three weeks. I think the last two were around Avon and Rodanthe on the OBX.

22?? If it's soft like it has been after a week of 100° temps and no rain then you may want to consider closer to 15. There are places down there for you to air back up, just bring quarters.
Couple weeks back...

Last weekish...

I was way over confident. I live in Florida and drive the beaches the all the time. OBX is a different beast. I didn't air down and was in 4 hi and overheated my trans quick. Air downed to 20 psi and 4 lo was right for my setup for my rig. It's awesome here with the horses.

Well I was up there from around 9:30-4:30 yesterday! Only aired down to 25 psi but really didn't have any problems at all. was in 2 hi most of the time when I was driving around exploring. Didn't have to worry as much about the tranny overheating because I drive manual. Was one of the best days I had on vacation ever! That's how the beach should be. Water was warm, beach was flat, and it wasn't crowded at all.
