If you get pulled over for speeding or something, they might heckle you. If a cop pulls you over just for fenders, they really could be doing something more productive

I usually follow all traffic signs. With 35's and 3.21's I won't be lighting any fires lol.

"Big city" cops could care less about the size of your tires.... My bro-in-law is a captain and ex mechanic who helped me put the lift and tires on. You can even speed past a philly cop on I-95 and they can't pull you over in a stock car or truck for speeding.... Unless you have bad stickers or fail to use a turn signal or broken tail light........ Only the state police can for speeding..... Not in the city's budget to patrol highways..... They stopped a few years ago.... I passed them even with tires sticking out of the wheel well.... Numerous times !!

Look up Motor vehicle code references to reciprocity agreements between states. If you have out of state plates and license and your vehicle is compliant with your licensing state's regulations you should be good. I say should because it sounds like a specific enforcement officer may have a personal beef with you. If this is the case it won't matter what the law says, your stay will be difficult.

I've been driving like this for months here in PA past numerous cops all the time. I've yet to be hassled. I know Bill Rupert too personally (he's running for sheriff currently and also a fellow jeeper) and he told me that most cops don't hassle people on modded jeeps that tires stick out past the fenders. Most of "us" (as he said referring to cops) know it's harder to keep big oversized tires under fenders.

Here's what my setup looks like...

Although technically illegal, I don't think you'll have to worry about being harassed much.
