Rausch Creek Question
I have had my jeep for 6 months now and I havent wheeled it yet
I know I know its a disgrace to the forum
With a 2.5" lift and 35" tires and 3.21 gears what trails can I do at Rausch Creek?
Is there anything else I should get before I hit the trails?

if you've never wheeled before, stick to the green for a while. but the rig will be able to take you on most blue, with some driver know-how.
i'll be at the black-friday run with my JK and the same stats. i plan to run some blue and plan to wimp out before i might damage anthing.
with the addition of a rear locker, you would be able to do any blue, and some black with a good spotter. fully locked would take you on all black and with the right spotter and driver, a red line or 2.
however the front d30 would most likely go running home to mommy crying before ya got past mild black
edit: this is my opinion based on wheeling a fully locked YJ, and many open-open and locked-open jeeps. i have never wheeled or wheeled with a JK, therefor have no experience with the traction-brake assist. from what i've heard its good chit so maybe add a 1/2 level up at most to what i said.

edit 2: you asked about stuff to maybe need. the best thing is practice ... but if you REALLY hate scratched sheet metal, invest in some good rock sliders (not side steps) and skids (for the jk an evap re-locatioin). lockers are the BEST add-on for gettin yourself into trouble ... a winch is the BEST investment at gettin yourself out of trouble. if it's a DD you'll be drivin in with, an air-down tool is handy b/c no matter how awesome your rig is, without the right tires and PSI you got nothin. BFG makes a good tire

edit 3: sorry ... no clue how new you are to this stuff, and someone else might want the info anyways ... if you are wondering about general gear to keep with ya, google offroad equipment list or somethin, there are lots of lists out there of good things to carry. the KEY is a good tow starp (no metal hooks, you don't want to kill anyone) and snacks (trust me on the snacks)
(don't bring beer ...)
edit 4: ... can anyone tell i'm bored at work today??

Stick with the greens for a bit to get to know your JK. Some of the greens at Rausch as of lately definately are treading on becoming blue rated trails.
Seen a few who take on Blues and above their first trip out, dont listen to their spotters, break and destroy things, lots of body damage.... and we never see or hear from them again....

I ran greens, blues, blue-blacks and a black or 2 with similar setup.. just be careful on the skinny pedal and as other have said, listen to your spotter and you will do fine.
I am planning on going to the black friday Rausch Run.. but this time running larger lift. (AEV Premium 3.5" with Currie Arms) so basically, It will be like my first time and I hope I dont have any kinks I need to work out on the trail (I have cycling the suspension on my forklift and have some issues a few of which im taking care of today)
Raush is a great time and you will have a lot of fun!!!!!

Learn the park on greens then try things out after you see someone take some lines on the blues if you feel up to it. Armor up underneath as best you can. Diff covers, evap skid etc will all help.
Rausch is doing a guided green only ride on 11/28 Saturday. M2 (Mike) works for RC and is doing the guiding he is a great guy and will help you along with no pressure if you want to check it out.

Just take the spaces out in front of the www.
Like it says in posts above easy on the skinny peddle and make sure you disconnect it make all the difference on the trail.
