Rausch Creek Run December 6th
I thought about maybe trying to zip tie it together but I'd love to know how you fixed it for the future.
No problem, I'll get together some pictures of the repair and post them. I should be getting the replacement bushing from the dealer tomorrow, however for now I am just driving around with the entire center console out. This way I can reach down and hold the linkage on while I shift the transfer case. It will be easier to understand once I get some pics up.
Here is the explanation of my transfer case linkage fix. Below is a photo of how it looked when I got to it.

As you can see, you could hold the link on the shifter to shift to different gears with the console off. So here is an explanation of how to do this if it breaks on the trail. Also, the other end of the linkage is located directly above the front driveshaft.
- Remove the four torx bolts that hold the console in place. Two in front, two in the rear.
- Remove the transfer case shifter knob by pulling really hard and twisting side to side at the same time.
- Pull the e brake lever to its absolute highest position.
- (Manual transmission) Unclip the shifter boot from the console.
- Now remove the console by pulling up on the rear of the center console until it clears the e brake handle.
--- Now you are able to access the linkage and if you are on the trail you can hold it together to shift into or out of gear.
For the permanent fix, the new bushing cost me $3.50 from the stealership. Once the bushing was on and fixed, I decided to add a slight modification so it will never come off again. I drilled an incredibly small hole (and broke a drill bit as well) and put a small hitch pin through the hole so that even if the bushing breaks again, it will not slip off.

Hope this helps!

There will be a link posted on their facebook page tomorrow morning @ 10am. When you go through the registration process, one of the sections lists all the trail guides and the trail levels that they are running. You'll be required to choose one. Once a guides group reaches 10 vehicles, that group closes and is removed from the list.
Sounds good! I think one of my friends Brad from bad karma crawlers also was going to try and join the group! I need to try and get some rock rails until then since a lift and bigger tires aren't in the budget right now...
