Well, then don't forget to stock up on milk and bread, too.

I'm heading to URE tonight around 7-8 (hopefully, getting my spacers put on after work!!). Think we're trying to find an open campsite at Badin Lake for tonight and tomorrow. Most likely trail riding all day tomorrow, but won't start til around 11ish... You can do a drive by at the campgrounds. We're shooting for a LOE spot and it'll just be one black JK unlimited and a group of 3 korean guys so don't be alarmed! and... it'll be freezing cold!

Made it back from URE and now my JK is officially broken in. It was cold at night... but the day time temperature was great! Didn't have much time to go through the trails, but I made it through Dickey Bell without any problem. Well, Maybe some axle rubbing and bouncing around... but I blame that on my scout. My camera broke while we were out there , so I only got a few pics. At least I got a decent flexed out pic... In either case, it was a great trip.. and more to come.

I second the thought of a JK outting at URE! We might be going again the weekend of 11/30 if anyone is interested.

I didn't expect Dickey Bell to be that aggressive, but maybe since I haven't wheeled it in almost 10 yrs, it seemed a little more than a moderate trail. Once I got used to it, it was not a problem though!

That sounds like a plan.

Default I met jkxtx today...

He is one heck of a nice guy. I took his tires and he took my cash. I always enjoy meeting fellow jk'ers. We really need to work on a concrete date for a meet and greet next spring. Maybe camp over the weekend or something.

Thanks for the compliments Russ. I enjoyed meeting you as well, and my wife enjoyed meeting your cash when I got home tonight. You have a couple of nice future Jeepers with your boys, the oldest asked me if I liked my JK, I was impressed.

Look forward to meeting more JK'ers in the area.

I agree with benmar2000. It's going to be packed when URE opens back up in April. Mid to late April should be okay. We should definately camp out and make a weekend out of it. We're still thinking about going near the end of November if anyone is interested.

Default Clemson area?

I ordered a 2" spacer lift from black diamond today... I've never done anything like this. Anybody in the area that has some experience or would like to help out with installing it? (that way if I screw it up I can spread the blame )

This weekend at Uwharrie, there is a clean up/work weekend. Basically, you report to the ranger station, you help them clean up the trails, install gaurd rails, all sorts of stuff. You in return, get free run of the trails after the work, and a free camping pass at Badin Lake camp ground. (and access to the showers at arrowhead camp) Ill be there this weekend with some of those from Low Country Jeep Club.
