So you guys want to do it October 15-17th weekend then?

I'll be in Hali and working a bit of a modified shift.... 8pm till 8am then so I'll have time from noon/1pm on to get my butt out of bed and hit the trail.... nice not having to be rushed but I will be on call though...

Tenative date...... Saturday October 16th?
Meet...... Petro Can Airport entrance road?
Time...... 1pm... ish?

Welcome back Canondale lol oh and Rick you can pm me on the nbjeepclub board if you like.... fun little trail. Nothing extreme but a little of everything just one of those trails that it's nice to be out on and getting used to the Jeep.

Cheers, Steve

Yeah you probably do know me through nbriders. I use to be really active there.

Ill have a winch on by the middle of october so i should be fine. I just cant go out and drop 1500$ on mud tires when i have a baby due the end of dec start of jan and the duellers are a great winter tire.

Now if I grab some OT at work and can afford it thats a different story hahaha.

Im ordering a bunch of stuff through bustabizz today and shipping it to calais me. Probably heading up to get it next weekend if it gets there. Im hoping the weather is good and ill run up with no top and install the trektop in a parking lot over there.

I'm not too much on the nbriders board anymore.... after selling the beast I'm trying to stay away from temptation.... pretty hard though when my other half is into bikes too! Maybe next summer.

Won't need a winch for this trail for sure but I'm sure you'll use it somewhere else no doubt lol.

Congrats on the lil papoose.... if you pass new tires past your financial advisor (wife) say it's for the family's safety... how can she say no lol. You didn't hear that from me

Love to see the Trek top..... I was going to myself but am very hesitant due to the hit and miss reviews on here. Hope it goes well for you.

Patience and money to mod aren't always there for sure ... if you plan on keeping the jeep for a long time anyway... patience and save your pennies (then research the hell outta what you want)... it's fun to watch them grow up. Mines come along way since ownership and still has a long ways to go to get it where I want it lol... fun trip though. Worst of it is though I have another Jeep to maintain as well.... I do empty my pockets fairly frequently lol.

I have another couple buddies in Amherst with JK's and I'll see if they'd like to come along as well.

This is shaping up to be a fun afternoon.

Steve

October 16 at 2pm at the airport timmies sounds good to me.....and Harbourone your supposed to tell the "Financial advisor" that the all season duellers are NOT good in the winter and you need a good mud/SNOW tire for better traction and safety..thats how i managed to buy my BFG Rubi take-offs without any grief from my "Advisor" just after we had our first child...we now have another on the way due on halloween..so a winch is probably a reach for me.......someday.

Hahaha we had a scary drive in the heavy rain we caught off hurricane Earl. I told her I needed some tires with larger voids. The 35x12.5 mud graps I want have pretty large voids lol. Lots of ot coming my way as well so who knows maybe by Xmas I'll have my gears installed and my mud graps too.

i stayed put for most of Earl, after the eye passed we drove to the shore over by lawrencetown, we saw some pretty crazy waves had a couple wash over the road and splash the jeep. went and put the hardtop on friday and put the softtop in storage coz i figured the storm would be stronger, i was thru juan didnt figure the softop could handle that kind of wind.

Yeah we didn't get to much of a beating here, it really just seemed like one of our nastier normal rainy days.

sorry to go off topic from the run but I just visited Halifax 2 weeks ago on a cruise. Awesome city, everyone was very nice, weather was perfect and the beer was great! We stopped in to Alexander Keiths and it was excellent. Looking to plan a road trip up there again soon
