The trails around lets say Colchester county or Turo, or Pictou County are more scenic and through the hills, and are not difficult. more mud, gravel and wooded trail. We could even all plan for a trail run in the Pictou county area with forum members Willy J, igotstuck, and myself!

As far as the province goes, when you get off the cat you'll want to explore a little of historic Shelburne if your into that sort of thing. Then there the beautiful ports and ocean fronts of Liverpool, Bridgewater, and Lunenburg. All with excellent sea food!!! Halifax is a great city to spend a few nights in. Its clean, and pritty. There lots of sights there to see. And some good restaurants, nightlife, and a couple good fine dining restaurants. Then youll have to make your way through colchester county, to pictou county, then onward to Cape Breton for the Cabot Trail...

Theres lots of Golf courses and such along the way if your into that as well. And on your way up from Yarmouth, there PLENTY! of beaches. White and brown sand.

So if youve got ANY questions at all let me know, pm me if you wish and ill give you an email address.

It all depends what yout into!
Sounds great. I'd love to hook up with you guys and go for a ride. Just so you know, I'm relatively new to the Jeep thing. I raced bikes in the dirt for years but four wheels are a little foreign to me. I posted my itinerary above so if you can work me into your schedule(s) let me know. Also, we are going to be in Halifax on the date of our anniversary and the wife wanted me to ask what the BEST restaurant in town would be? Any input is appreciated.

Right on! Ill have to check out the schedule and see what I can organizr with Willy J, and igotstuck!!!

We love to offroad but were all new to it to! I know I'm not exaclty "hardcore" lol. Wish I could be though!

When your in Halifax, theres a few nice spots. depends what your looking for. Theres the Press Gang, which is an exspensive fine dining restaurant. It has an incredible atmospher, and is perfect for a few drinks of wine, and some great food. But itll cost ya a couple or few hundred bucks, depending on what kind of wine you get if any lol.

There a bunch of Great restaurants in the Halifax area that are more along the lines of your family style restaurant like the keg, steak n stine ect ect... Or a great seaafood place thats on the halifax water front thats good for some wine or a few beers like The Warehouse...

All these places are surely a quick cab drive from wherever youll be staying in the city.

Let me know when you eventually plan a Cape Breton trip. Based in Baddeck on the Bras d'or Lakes, would love to fly you arround the Cabot Trail and over the higlands, only a few thousand miles of dirt and old logging roads, perfect for the jeep.

Have fun in Nova Scotia

Wife wants to know if she should pack shorts and t-shirts or jeans and sweaters for our trip (6/8 - 6/15). Any suggestions?

If your brave the shorts and t-shirts will work, but I would still throw a pair of jeans and a sweater, sowester, rain coat, snow chains, and skis in the back.

just kidding

should be warm days and cool nights, but it could definitly be cool arround the coast.

Enjoy

Thanks for the heads up. I don't ever leave home without my skis.......just wasn't sure if I should dress for spring skiing (shorts and hawaiin shirt) or not.
