hey nick hows it goin, you must be pissed off with aev. i just got a reply from them to my email. i mentioned your setup and they said there still waiting on parts, hasent even shipped yet
and he said aev pintlers are out of stock until july

Had an email yesterday saying parts should be with them within a week. Fingers crossed!!

Hello. We have an AEV 3 inch JK sitting in our shop right now. The kit has
no adjustment at all. If your looking for the best way to set a proper
caster angle in the front you should get the front upper arms. If your
looking to get a stronger, better flexing arm, and be able to move the axle
back and forth to better fit tires, then the front lowers are ok.

The current AEV customer bought the AEV kit because he wanted a simple to
install kit. Now he added our lowers to properly set his wheelbase. Then he
bought the front uppers to be able to set a proper caster angle. The rear
uppers and lowers are not that important on a 4 door. They do help with
flex, strength and once again being able to move the axle back a little to
compensate for lift height.

Our arms use either currie rebuildable johnny joints, or cleveite
mechanically bonded rubber bushings. They are very tough and usually don't
need to be changed for 4-5 years.

Difficult to get a feel for what is needed until I get the kit fitted, but then I dont want to be stuck for weeks waiting for arms. I'm not that keen on cam bolts or slotting the axle casing. Bugger!!

well i hope you get it soon its been a while

hmmm, from my reading of these informative forums, i think most people would want to replace the front lowers instead of the cam bolts. and if your replacing the driveshaft, then change all of them.
also from reading aussie forums who have the RHD kit, and are using the cam bolts, they say that the street manners are perfect, you just need to set the one of the alignments(i think castor) to just over 6 deg for 33's and its good to go.

if/when i ever get round to ordering the aev kit im probably gonna go all out and get new driveshafts, full adjustable arms and the kit: just to make sure i can still drive the jeep and not have to have a driveshaft fail and be waiting weeks/months with the jeep off the road.

but i may consider just getting the aev kit and front lowers as a starting point.

i think the main brands to consider for adjustable arms are teraflex, currie and maybe clayton. i would get the terflex personally.
aev says that they are thinking about making adjustables so maybe try the cam bolt and see what they come up with. but then you would need to weld new washer thing to the slit joint.
