I guess this topic has been covered to death but I'm interested if anyone in the UK has had the wheel arch liner recall carried out. I've heard that the fix is to take a pair of tin snips to the wheel arch liner and trim it back to give a better clearance on the brake lines.

My Jeep is not suffering from this and therefore does not need the recall carried out. If there was a properly engineered solution I may be interested.

 

Dealers did the cutting when it was in earlier this year.
Just a rough cut / hack of the plastic to give it extra clearance.
Mine wasn't touching, but was a little close, but not now.

I solved the issue myself ... just added some "padding" and glue it to the splash guards
