I've signed petitions for Tellico and Rubicon also and would love to be able to do more, I've been saying on here we need a thread or area of the forum for this since the Tellico closing was being talked about.

Sgt what is the bill for Burilington NJ?? That would be the pine barrons

Take a Politician wheeling, as long as you don't scare them too bad, they will want to open more land!

All this blubberin on a thread on a Jeep forum is worthless. Show me some petitions and I'll sign um. Tell me where I can get involved and I will.

What will help IMHO is some form of announcement board about pending hearings / meetings / legislation affecting the land use. It can be something as innocent looking as "West Nowhere Community Improvement Initiative" that will result in a closure of big areas or a few more locks on unpaved roads. We come from all walks of life and I am pretty sure we have people embedded in the right places and with the right training.

I think this would be a great idea. Here in Utah our public land rights are continually being decided in Wash. DC. by people that have never been here.

On Aug 8 2009 there will be a "TAKE BACK UTAH" rally. They are encouraging everyone to bring their trail rigs for a procession to the state capitol. It has to be organized and lawfull or they will not listen. I think a section of up coming things we can participate in would be very helpful.

Land-use discussions are important and encouraged here on the forum. This is one of the reasons the local area sub-forums were created-- not only to give a people a place to organize runs, but to allow people to get together and discuss issues important to their specific locales. We are currently working with the Area Leaders to help them encourage discussion of land-use issues and to help you stay better connected with local initiatives and causes.

thanks dojer for the response. my input is that i see would be issue in the sub forums for so called state or areas. becouse land issue's impact everyone regardless of what state they are in.

if the issue was in one forum one could be more aware of the impact regardless of the state or region- the issue i see if you plan on doing something with each area leader is sifting through all the sub cats'.
