Ahhh!!!!
I hate computers , love jeeps but hate computers. Im pretty sure they feel the same about me though. I cant figure out how to upload pics, keeps telling me there to large. Please help
How do I post a photo?
1. Using a photo editing program like Photoshop, try to resize your scanned-in or digital photographs so that they are no larger than 800-1200 pix wide at 72 dpi. This is the internet and you don't really need them to be any wider or have a resolution higher than 72 dpi. The only thing a higher resolution will do is make things run slowly for people on dial-up.
2. In order for people to see your photos on-line, you will need to have them hosted on an internet server (home computer is not an internet server). Most ISP's (Internet Service Providers) such as Earthlink, COX, Comcast, etc. typically offer personal web space with your account and you can use it to host your own photos there.
Or, if that’s too much for you to get your head around, another good option is to have your photos hosted through an online photo hosting service like My.Project-JK.com - Main Index - Powered by PhotoPost, Snapfish.com, Photobucket.com or Geocities.com.
3. Now, if you are hosting your own photos, you will need to know the exact URL of each image which should look something like this:
My.Project-JK.com - Main Index - Powered by PhotoPost
The My.Project-JK.com - Main Index - Powered by PhotoPost part of the URL is the server or hosting service you are using, the /image part of the URL is the folder your image is saved in and the /photo-01.jpg part of the URL is the name of your photo.
But, if you are having your photos hosted on an online photo hosting service, all you need to do is locate the image you want in your album, 'Right Mouse Click' the image and then select 'Properties'.
4. Highlight and copy the 'Address (URL)'.
5. On the bulletin board, click on the 'New Thread' or 'Post Reply' button if you are simply responding on a thread. Above the dialogue box where you would type in your message, you should see a small icon that looks like yellow square with mountains and a sun in it. Click on this icon and a new dialogue box will pop-up.
6. Type in the exact URL or paste in the 'Address (URL)' you copied from your photo album earlier into this dialogue box.
7. Click 'OK' and the vBulletin Software will automatically put in the necessary '[img]' tags for you and your photo should now be included with your post.
