Default Background Color

I can't find where it gives us the option to change the background color of the forums. Mine is white and I would like to make it black if possible. Is this possible on this site?

I don't think it is. Years ago when the site was updated the background changed. It really bothered me as I preferred the black like you. Guess I just got used to it over time. I recall trying to find a way to make it black again and I'm 99% certain that is not possible. I'm sure @speedlimit can confirm.

Hi everyone,

resharp001 is correct, white on black created conflicts with software updates on desktop or mobile or both. Sorry!

Doesn't the lack of color options violate ADA website compliance laws? Quick way to find hot water.

I'm not part of the legal team and I can't get into specifics. That said, my understanding, as referenced below, is that not having an option within the site to set colors is not a violation for the subject you reference.

According to this:
https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/quickr...l-presentation

First Requirement: Techniques to ensure foreground and background colors can be selected by the user
G156: Using a technology that has commonly-available user agents that can change the foreground and background of blocks of text
Your major browser allows you to change the foreground, background and link colors. If a website allows the user's settings within their browser to override the website's coded foreground and background color, my understanding is that's a pass. As you can see in my example below, this website does so:

Yet another day that I learned something new. I had no clue about ADA compliance laws, nor that browsers offered that.

Yep, learn something every day. Thanks and no problem at all. Just thought I would ask and mainly thinking I was over looking it. Thanks again.
