I have a lot of pics from a trail I did on Sunday. Each one averages 8 megabytes in size. How can I downsize them so that I can post them on the forum?

 

Open each picture using something like Microsoft Paint (probably on your computer when you bought it) then click on the RESIZE button. Choose the "pixel" tab and fill in the first box with something like 700. It'll automatically keep the aspect ratio (so the pic won't look stretched) and then resave the image. Now you can upload the images to the forum.
