Grinding noise
While driving I hear a grinding noise coming from underneath. Sound like metal being drag across the concrete or road. Any ideas what is the cause or source of the noise?
1.Have you had anyone look to see if you are actually dragging something under there?
Could be a tree branch or something like that.
2.If so and there's nothing there, then while moving try your brakes....does the noise stop
while the brakes are applied? If so, then the pads are worn and they are grinding the rotor.
3.If the Brake check does nothing to stop the noise, take a sec to climb under the jeep
and see if the front drive shaft is rubbing on the exhaust pipe,( just before the transfer
-case). Most stock Jp's don't have this issue, but any slight tweeking of the suspension
could case this problem to occur.
