OK so I changed my oil about a month ago maybe have driven my 08jk Rubi about 100 miles and now today after the snow storm I'm getting a change oil msg from the miles gauge. I don't know it its because it cold outside and the oil is just turning hard or I really need a oil change . Also I'm getting this strange feeling that it could be that baring problem that's notorious with the Jk . Any words of advise ?

 

Sounds like you just need to reset the oil change warning light

Turn the key/ignition to on position (but don't start the Jeep); press the gas pedal down three times; turn the key to off; then start it back up. The oil light should be off/reset now.
