For the mod that deleted my post.....

The item in question sells at retail for CONSIDERABLY LESS than the guy was asking, so I wondered if they were special and asked.

Should I take my last post's deletion as one can't ask an honest question without being kicked by the OP, then deleted by the mod?

Is this OP a paying vendor? I was clearly under the impression that this place was being run differently.... or is it?

I'm very disappointed, as I was under the impression eddie and his minions were gone.

Does this place run with the USER or VENDOR in mind?

 

If you look at the for sale rules section their is a part about if you don't like a price keep your opinions to yourself. Perhaps that is the reason

I deleted your post because you used a gay slur and called the OP a dick. Don't read any more into it than that.

I'm one of the guys who wrote ťhe forum's new misson statement, and I think it's obvious we're all about the community. But we do ask that people behave like adults and respect one another.

I assume you are well aware of the history here. Fail to follow the party line, you are labled a "troll" and banned. As you said, we need not read further into that.... but just realize that word has special meaning here.

He called me out with it, so I responded in kind.

As for the gay slur.... Really Bill? If you want to be all PC and what not, cool, that's your thing... But no one in their right mind would have ever looked at that and though I had made any poor comment towards anyone that was gay.

I feel stupid asking this next question as we decided to not read any more into anything, but....

Is the respect thing one way? I asked an honest question.

 

Believe me, I'm intimately familiar with the way things used to be here. That's why I jumped at the opportunity to contribute when I was asked to be a moderator. There's no party line here anymore; you can say Poly Performance rocks or that EVO sucks, and people can disagree and debate all they like. Anything less cheats the community.

Of course respect should be mutual. I stopped that thread because it was likely to turn into a flame war. I could have done it more gracefully, I'm sure. I'm lucky to get 30 minutes most days to take care of my mod duties. I try to leave notes when I jump in, and when time allows. I apologize if it seems I took the other poster's side. Take care.
