Do you have the picture you want to use?

OK-- then you will need to resize it to 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). You can do this using most photo editors, or you can post it up here and I can resize it for you. (see here for instructions on posting pics on the board).

Once you have the image at 80x80, you will want to click "USER/CP" at the top of the page (next to "HOME") then, on the left under "Settings & Options" click "Edit Avatar". A little bit down the page, you can select "Use Custom Avatar" and you can copy the link of your pic, or upload it from your hard drive to set it as your avatar.

Hope that helps!

you know the site will do a lot of resizing for you, I can choose a picture 175 kb's and 250X250 pixels(the biggest sizes I have tried that work, but I skipped everything between 175K and 2 megs so somewhere between there the upload fails)
But try it, it is surprising how large a picture AVATAR will accept and resize for you, the software here is amazingly user friendly.
