no start no crank on a 1997 cherokee sport

Default no start no crank on a 1997 cherokee sport
i have changed the neutral Safety switch and the distributor position sensor when i plug the switch in the wires get red hot but it throws code P1694 and i'm very stumped anyone had the same problems
