Default Posting pics from photobucket???

I am trying to post pics from photo bucket and I'm running into a few issues...

1) Which link from photobucket should I use when posting? (Email & IM, Direct, HTML, HTML Thumb, IMG, or IMG Thumb)
2) Through process of elimination I used the "Direct" link and got the "Remote file is too large" message. I re-sized in photobucket and now I'm getting "The GIF image has the wrong file extension", still using "Direct" link from photobucket
3) What is the max resolution I can post (horizontal lines is all I need)?

Thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated.

Copy the IMG. Paste it in the post. It will link and show without actually being in the post.

I reduce mine to 1000 across before I upload them. They look fine in my posts.
