is there any specific thing you have to do in order for you profile picture to show up when you post a thread or reply to one?
any help would be appreciated!

You don't even have a profile pic? Once u upload urs, it will show up on any thread u reply on.

Go to your account settings and choose edit your profile picture. Have a picture that you want to use somewhere on your computer. You can then upload it as your profile pic.
