Question for yall, I've recently bought new shocks for my 16 jku. It came with rough country springs (possibly 3.5" lift) and fox shocks. Even after upgrading to the 2.5 dcs fox shocks it rides rough.....so i purchased a set of used tera flex springs part numbers 1853400 -front and 1854400 -rear. I installed the rears yesterday and now im sitting at 9" between bottom of the fender and the top of the tire (35" m/t). I haven't done the front yet, but I'm worried about how much higher it sits now. I thought I was already at a 3.5" lift or atleast close, but the difference is 2 inches from what I can tell. Is anyone running a 4" lift on 35's that can tell me what their tire to fender gap is? I know this isn't exact apples to apples, im just trying to get some insight as to why the drastic height difference. Sorry so long!

 

Too many variables in tires and fenders, so measure the eyelet-to-eyelet on the rear shock. My 3.5" lift is 21" on the driver's side. The passenger side might sit a bit lower if you have a full tank of gas.

Usually, after a spring install the ride height is a bit taller than after a ride or two and things settle in. Keep in mind that those part numbers are for a full 4" lift. Also, Rough Country springs aren't the same quality as Teraflex so the 3.5" springs may have settled while the 4" ones are still at full height.
