I'm curious if the reason that people who are new to this forum are called newbies because of that reason alone. So, if you ask or answer enough questions in here, does this elevate you to "jedi" or "god" if you reach some magical number of posts? I find this kind of strange because there are some people who come into this forum with many more years of jeeping (and other 4x4) experience than some of the high number dudes. Does just having a higher number of posts automatically make you a "god" of the forum then? Just wondering.

It's just your status with respect to how much you have contributed to the forum by way of the number of posts.
It does not imply that you have more or less expertise than anyone else on the forum.

Your user title, such as, "JK Newbie", has everything to do with post count on this forum and nothing to do with your personal life experiences.

I consider my self a newbie because I'm learning everything about jeeps on this forum. Never owned a wrangler before so this is like a jeep dictionary for me.

Might I add, there are no "gods" here.
It has all to do with post count.

Newbie - urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=newbie

A person new to a game, concept, or forum. Not to be confused with n00b, a stupid person. Newbies are just new.
Dude, that guy just joined the forum yesterday and is a total newbie to HTML. You should tell him how to get an avatar since he doesn't know.
newb n00b n00b newbie new n00bie

LOL = laugh(ing) out loud
OMG = Oh my God
FWIW = For What It's Worth
